Beneath drowsy shadow
of an eye
a tear flushed away
to mark presence
of an absence
in each splited second
which holds journey
of million miles
to cover unknown lie
sparkled by eyes of solace
with dark black shadow
of truth…………
…..to begin an end!
There are obviously lots of unseen things in our lives which would never show to another person but deep inside they control and bound us. Many lies are spoken to cover them up. You certainly put in some contradictory words up with each other which certainly make the feeling hit harder. Very well written.
Neilina – Thanks Nemesis! Do we need to lie to cover them up? I guess some of these things will anyway show-up.
marking an absence with the presence of an absent tear – lovely!
Neilina – Thanks Serenity. Welcome here 🙂
hehe good one!
the last line reminds me of a speech by winston churchill done during world war 2. (it was after allies got a decisive victory in afrikan campaign i guess) it says- Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. but it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.
Neilina – Thanks! Winston Churchill….wow! I really adore that man for his words.
nice!!!
U missing some one??? so badly???
Neilina – Hey Thanks! Oh yeah, I always miss someone but unable to guess who? 😀
Beneath drowsy shadow
of an eye
a tear flushed away
to mark presence
of an absence…
Lovely! Could you elaborate the poem a bit more for me? ..
Neilina – Sure Aadil. I wrote the poem related to some unseen which always holds us, which we always try to find out in our journey. It seems to be unknown lie which we are covering by a truth. At the same time, it is difficult for us to accept the truth as it seems to be dark black shadow. The dilemma still hangs in our life. I hope I have made myself clear.
to begin an end..ah profound
Neilina – Thanks Rambler!
